Dennis Ray Schneider, Ph.D.  President








Dennis Ray Schneider,PhD. is a 28-year veteran and expert in petroleum microbiology, biotechnology and oil field industries. President and founder of Energy Remediation Solutions, he was born in South Texas to a pioneer farming and ranching family and he received his bachelors and doctoral degrees in microbiology from the University of Texas at Austin in 1974 and 1978 respectively.  After postdoctoral work in Marburg, Germany and at the University of Missouri-Columbia Medical School, he worked in the medical diagnostics industry for seven years. Since 1988, he worked as Vice President and Director of Research and Development for a forerunner company in petroleum microbiology and environmental biotechnology.   Both a businessman and a scientist, he is an expert in petroleum microbiology as well as wastewater treatment and bioremediation. He served as an adjunct associate professor at the University of Texas at Austin for 25 years and collaborated with NASA on research for the International Space Station. From the headwaters of the Amazon to the steppes of Kazakhstan, he has been involved in oil field projects throughout the world.  A member of several professional organizations, including the Society for Petroleum Engineers,National Association of Corrosion Engineers, the American Society of Microbiology, and the Texas Oil & Gas Association, he has authored numerous technical articles and books, including two novels.
